Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Associate Director of the Office of Inclusion and Belonging. This role will play a critical part in fostering a culture of inclusivity and belonging on campus, working closely with students, faculty, and staff to create a welcoming and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
  • Collaborate with student organizations, faculty, and staff to create a sense of community and belonging among students.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Office of Inclusion and Belonging team, including supervision of staff and coordination of office operations.
  • Work closely with the Director of the Office of Inclusion and Belonging to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Engage with the broader Pitt community to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in student affairs or a related field, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
