Director, SBDC

The University of Pittsburgh's Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship is seeking a highly qualified Director for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Associate Director for the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE).

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the SBDC, ensuring compliance with ASBDC and PA SBDC requirements.
• Direct small business services, including financial management and strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the business community at local, state, and federal levels.
• Collaborate with the IEE Executive Director to develop and implement strategic directives.

• Proven entrepreneurial and business knowledge.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on operational leadership.

• Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Five years of management experience, preferably in a university or complex organization setting.
• Knowledge of SBDC/SBA/DCED and economic development experience.

This is a full-time regular position, with a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hiring range will be determined based on qualifications. Relocation is not offered, and visa sponsorship is not provided.
