Director, SBDC

Leads the day-to-day operations of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Directs small business services consistent with ASBDC and PA SBDC requirements. Oversees all financial matters within the SBDC. Works with IEE Executive Director to develop and implement strategic directives. Develops and maintains relationships with the business community at local, state, and federal levels.

• Proven entrepreneurial and business knowledge
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills

• Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Five years of management experience strongly preferred
• Must have SBDC/SBA/DCED knowledge and/or economic development experience
• Existing relationships with key PA stakeholders, including but not limited to: SBDC, banking, lenders, accounting firms, other universities, professional associations, surrounding counties, chambers of commerce, legislators, federal agencies

• Management and leadership experience in university and/or complex organizations
• Ability to impact and work with diverse populations
• Programming and education development experience
• Experience in reporting and managing federal and state programs
• Proficient digital technology skills and ability to use the CRM to enter data and generate reports
• Ability to travel
