Position Overview
Weichert, Realtors is seeking an Accountant II to join our team. This role is a hybrid position that involves a blend of remote work and in-office responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
The Accountant II will operate under general supervision and is tasked with executing both routine and complex accounting functions that necessitate a comprehensive grasp of accounting principles. The primary duties include:
  • Facilitating the timely completion of month-end closings by coordinating with various departments to gather necessary information.
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to verify the accuracy of month-end financial statements and the integrity of reported figures.
  • Preparing and evaluating consolidated financial reports across all organizational levels, focusing on actuals, budgets, forecasts, and prior fiscal performance.
  • Partnering with business unit leaders to manage operating expense budgets, forecasts, and spending objectives.
  • Analyzing actual financial outcomes and pinpointing significant financial and operational challenges; assessing actual results against budgets and forecasts.
  • Conducting detailed research and variance analysis to ensure data precision.
  • Assisting in the development and entry of various financial upload files as required.
  • Providing backup support for different functions within the Shared Service Department.
  • Engaging in special projects as assigned by the US Controller and VP of Finance.
  • Executing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Two to four years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with user-based accounting and financial systems is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of account analysis and financial statements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
