**Position Overview**

Xcelerate Solutions is in search of a **Cloud Solutions Architect** to contribute significantly to the design, engineering, and deployment of innovative software solutions for our advanced technology platform. This role is essential in supporting our mission to enhance the efficiency of Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) across various defense and intelligence sectors.

As a **Cloud Solutions Architect**, you will engage in various technical responsibilities including the architecture, creation, and ongoing support of cloud infrastructures. Collaborating closely with our Cloud Architect, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, and Operations Management, you will oversee our cloud strategies and ensure comprehensive documentation of all processes. The majority of your work will be conducted in collaboration with client teams, with occasional remote tasks.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Implementing and troubleshooting cloud initiatives in alignment with industry best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Utilizing strong analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Designing and constructing web services within cloud environments.
  • Creating and executing cloud-based platforms tailored to project requirements.
  • Collaborating with project teams to prioritize and manage product backlogs for upcoming sprints and releases.
  • Monitoring and reporting on technical discrepancies; facilitating solutions for issues that may hinder successful project delivery.
  • Identifying and supporting external dependencies as necessary.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience with 12+ years in systems engineering, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Experience with Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).
  • Familiarity with security protocols in classified environments.
  • Proficient in cloud services, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with SecDevOps and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level cloud implementations.
  • Proficient in Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of web services including API and REST.
  • Strong understanding of networking and internet protocols.
  • Extensive experience with open-source technologies, software development, and systems engineering.
  • Experience in developing basic tools and scripting using UNIX shell, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripting (CDK/CloudFormation preferred).
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Salt or Ansible.
  • Cloud administration skills in AWS, including EC2, ELB/ALB, S3, EFS, VPC, AWS CLI, and cloud theory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Able to work collaboratively with individuals from various technical backgrounds.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • AWS cloud certifications.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with container deployment platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of data processing and big data applications.
  • Experience supporting defense and intelligence community initiatives.
  • Understanding of OSINT methodologies.
