Mid-Shift Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Shift Manager to join our team at Native Maine Produce and Specialty Foods LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations during the mid-shift, ensuring efficiency, safety, and a positive work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Mastery: Lead and train our warehouse team to achieve operational goals, celebrate victories, and contribute to a vibrant workplace culture.
  • Daily Warehouse Leadership: Take charge of quality assurance, inventory control, shipping and receiving procedures, mentor and guide your team with constructive feedback and positive encouragement, and coordinate seamless product transitions between shifts.
  • Safety First: Uphold a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and be the go-to person for enforcing company policies and handling personnel matters.
  • HACCP/OSHA Excellence: Step in as a backup to the Operations Manager/OSHA Lead, championing compliance with HACCP/OSHA regulations, and play a key role in implementing documentation and policy changes.
  • Efficient Logistics Management: Optimize workflow to reduce overtime and enhance efficiency, collaborate with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and minimize errors, and ensure smooth logistics for product transportation, guaranteeing on-time deliveries.
  • Adapt and Thrive: Embrace change with a positive mindset and adapt seamlessly to new challenges, and be the hero who turns unforeseen challenges into victories.
  • Team Success: Be a team player, fostering effective collaboration between both shifts, be a mentor, encouraging the professional development of your team, and provide training opportunities that empower team members to excel.
  • Accountability and Problem-Solving: Tackle day-to-day challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, resolve team conflicts gracefully, and conduct thorough quality checks on products before shipment to ensure they meet customer expectations.
  • Customer Centric: Efficiently and accurately process customer orders using our warehouse management system, pay close attention to special instructions or requests from customers and ensure they are fulfilled, and report and address any discrepancies or defects promptly.
  • Transparency and Communication: Exhibits a collaborative mindset and encourages team members to share insights and ideas openly, possesses exceptional communication skills, ensuring clear and open dialogue within the team across all departments, and ability to articulate complex ideas in a straightforward manner, fostering an environment of openness and trust.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years previous warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and goal-setting abilities
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and organizational prowess
  • Proficient conflict resolution and customer service skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively between shifts, fostering a unified team spirit
  • Knowledge of HACCP/OSHA policies and procedures (preferred)
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus
  • Basic math skills are essential
