Job Summary

Carter Hospitality Group is seeking a seasoned Director of Sales & Catering to lead the Sales & Catering department at South Coast Resort & Spa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and sales team to develop and execute business plans, trimester plans, and budgets.
  • Manage advertising, direct mail, and sales budget, making recommendations for realignment as needed.
  • Monitor overall office workflow and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Yield rates on a weekly basis with the General Manager, Sales Manager, and the Yield/Reservations Coordinator.
  • Oversee and ensure the update of the different websites and GDS.
  • Generate and cross-book sales leads.
  • Monitor progress of the sales team.
  • Responsible for training sales managers and department heads on appropriate aspects of Cross Selling.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
