Position Title: Senior Pricing Strategy Manager
Position Summary: The Senior Pricing Strategy Manager will spearhead the formulation and implementation of pricing frameworks aimed at boosting profitability and enhancing market presence. This position entails overseeing a team of pricing specialists, performing sophisticated pricing evaluations, and engaging with essential stakeholders to guide pricing strategies. The Senior Pricing Strategy Manager will also construct pricing models, track market developments, and deliver strategic insights to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide a team of pricing specialists, ensuring the delivery of high-caliber analyses and outputs.
- Formulate and execute pricing frameworks that are in line with corporate objectives and prevailing market conditions.
- Perform sophisticated pricing evaluations, including competitive analysis, cost assessments, and customer segmentation.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and product development teams to ensure pricing frameworks align with overarching business objectives.
- Create and sustain intricate pricing models to support strategic decision-making and enhance profitability.
- Monitor market developments, competitor pricing strategies, and industry trends to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Offer strategic guidance to senior management regarding pricing modifications, promotional activities, and discount strategies.
- Assess the financial implications of pricing decisions and ensure they align with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPP) is advantageous.
- 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, financial evaluation, or related fields, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting and executing pricing strategies across diverse products or markets.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and pricing software, including Excel and specialized pricing tools.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities, with an emphasis on mentoring and nurturing talent.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a robust focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of influencing senior management and cross-functional teams.
- In-depth understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis, and industry trends pertinent to pricing.
- Capability to manage multiple initiatives and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
