Position Overview

Your role will focus on enhancing the reliability of systems and equipment within your designated process area, minimizing downtime, and supporting the operation of the assigned processes.

Key Relationships

Reports to Manager/Supervisor Technical Support.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and environmentally responsible work environment
  • Proactively enhance the performance and reliability of process equipment
  • Effectively restore equipment functionality
  • Lead response efforts during events
  • Plan and execute corrective and preventative maintenance for assigned processes
  • Monitor performance metrics and trends, providing actionable plans for improvement
  • Support and implement reliability enhancement projects for systems and equipment
  • Assist in training and coaching operational staff
  • Document and review maintenance and repair data in Batch Production Records and related forms
  • Oversee and guide the use of SAP for work order management
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned

Physical Demands

Must be able to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility. Regularly operate and inspect manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to stand for up to 12 hours is required. Vision correction may be necessary based on role. Occasional ladder use and work at heights may be required. Exposure to hazardous materials and cold environments may occur. Hearing protection is necessary in loud environments. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions is expected. A driving exam for powered industrial trucks may be required, but a valid driver's license is not necessary.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent military or industrial training with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience is required
  • Familiarity with systems such as compressed air, electro-mechanical controls, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and robotics is preferred
  • Experience with automated record systems like SAP, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents is advantageous
  • Computer literacy is preferred
  • Knowledge of various troubleshooting strategies is beneficial
  • Ability to support planning and execution of process functions and coordinate maintenance activities for optimal performance is preferred
