Job Overview

Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of the facility and its associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the upkeep of the facility and all machinery.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and troubleshooting on equipment within a manufacturing setting.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in adhering to safety standards, including OSHA regulations and relevant state laws.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure prompt repairs of systems and equipment.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in liaising with property owners and external contractors for maintenance and repairs of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Perform necessary cleaning and janitorial duties as required.
  • Help manage the inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Proficient knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Capability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Skilled in maintaining records for repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple departments and external service providers.
  • Basic understanding of janitorial responsibilities and inventory control.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience with electrical diagnostics in an industrial or manufacturing context is essential.
