Job SummaryWe're looking for a Small Business Banking Sales Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for soliciting new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships with small businesses in your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform calling activities with targeted prospects and customers to acquire new business and expand existing relationships
- Establish and manage a referral network of Centers of Influence (COI) and serve as the primary advisor for an assigned portfolio of diverse and complex small business commercial relationships
- Facilitate credit requests, including loan structuring, negotiating/pricing, collateral, and ensuring adequate loan documentation
- Facilitate the resolution of customer problems within the assigned portfolio and engage product experts as needed
- Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the Bank and to establish referral contacts within the marketplace
- Thorough knowledge of full range of commercial products, credit policies, procedures, and terminology
- Goal-oriented with well-developed sales and negotiation skills
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good credit analysis skills
- Ability to structure more complex credit requests
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria
