Position Overview:

This role is designed for you As a Nursing Education Instructor, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through their journey in the Practical Nursing program, helping them earn their certifications and move closer to their nursing degrees or employment in the healthcare sector. This position uniquely combines clinical and educational environments, allowing you to leverage your expertise to enhance student success and prepare them for impactful careers in nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and upload comprehensive course syllabi for each class to the Learning Management System.
  • Keep students informed about course content, requirements, evaluation methods, and attendance policies.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, including course communications, grades, and attendance.
  • Ensure industry credentials are current and relevant to the teaching area.
  • Design, update, and recommend curriculum modifications that align with course objectives and enhance student learning.
  • Actively engage in program reviews, assessments, and course evaluations.
Position Details:
This is a Full-time Exempt position, requiring a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week. The primary focus of the instructor is to coordinate, plan, prepare, present, and evaluate classroom instruction and related activities across various modalities (hybrid, online, or face-to-face) during flexible hours.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred; a Bachelor's degree with an active study plan will be considered.
  • Five years of current experience in nursing, nursing education, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of a current, unrestricted Kansas RN license is mandatory.
  • Annual TB testing and other required immunizations or physical exams are the responsibility of the instructor.
  • CPR certification must be obtained prior to clinical placements.
  • Previous experience in adult education is preferred.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
