Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty Member to join our team at Tarrant County College District. As a Biology Instructor, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach biology courses to students at various levels, including introductory and advanced courses.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to promote academic success.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of biology and incorporate relevant research and best practices into your teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional service activities, such as committee work and professional development.
Requirements
  • Masters degree or higher in Theoretical/Applied Biology or Life Sciences or Masters degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in Theoretical/Applied Biology or Life Sciences.
  • Experience teaching a class or facilitating training.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse.
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Theoretical/Applied Biology or Life Sciences.
  • Experience teaching at the community college level.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Experience with online course delivery.
