We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty Member to join our team at Tarrant County College District. As a Biology Instructor, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality education to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach biology courses to students at various levels, including introductory and advanced courses.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to promote academic success.
- Stay current with developments in the field of biology and incorporate relevant research and best practices into your teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Participate in departmental and institutional service activities, such as committee work and professional development.
- Masters degree or higher in Theoretical/Applied Biology or Life Sciences or Masters degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in Theoretical/Applied Biology or Life Sciences.
- Experience teaching a class or facilitating training.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse.
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Doctorate degree in Theoretical/Applied Biology or Life Sciences.
- Experience teaching at the community college level.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Experience with online course delivery.
