The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our EMS program, ensuring they receive a high-quality education that prepares them for a successful career in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver engaging and effective instructional materials and courses that meet the needs of our students and align with industry standards.
  • Student Evaluation and Progression: Assess student progress, provide feedback, and make recommendations for improvement to ensure students meet course outcomes and competencies.
  • Classroom and Laboratory Management: Supervise and manage students in classroom and laboratory settings, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Industry Credentials and Compliance: Maintain current industry credentials and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and administrative processes affecting local, regional, and state pre-hospital emergency medical services systems.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Engage with students, technical and administrative personnel, and other stakeholders to promote student success and achieve program goals.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Current Kansas Emergency Medical Technician License or Kansas Paramedic License required. Three years of work experience in the industry preferred.
  • Certifications and Training: Current CPR certification and ability to obtain yearly TB test and other immunizations or physical examinations as required by clinical sites.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the proper safety and handling of materials used in the field, as well as excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
