The Role


The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer is tasked with the development, implementation, execution, and enhancement of the Quality Management System, aimed at fostering advancements in our processes and product excellence to meet customer demands effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the analysis of non-conforming products and customer issues to identify root causes and formulate suitable corrective and preventive measures.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and other problem-solving initiatives to pinpoint effective corrective actions and process enhancements.
  • Oversee the internal Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) processes, preparing data packages for both internal and external customer assessments.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers regarding Product Control Systems (PCS).
  • Maintain consistent metrics such as process capability, control charts, and measurement quality to monitor system effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with customers to uncover opportunities for quality improvement and establish feedback loops with manufacturing and development teams.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Coordinate the creation and execution of continuous quality improvement plans tailored to internal and customer specifications.
  • Assist manufacturing teams in designing, implementing, and documenting procedures for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection.
  • Conduct supplier process audits and devise strategies for enhancing quality and minimizing variation in raw materials.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supplier quality performance through statistical data analysis, process capability assessments, trend evaluations, and project management methodologies.
  • Evaluate supplier process capabilities in relation to new product development, initial supplier selection, and specification enhancements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish robust root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and containment strategies, ensuring timely execution of planned activities.
  • Support the development and execution of supplier audit schedules to verify that suppliers maintain effective quality systems compliant with applicable standards.
  • Analyze and refine product and supplier specifications to create efficient, cost-effective requirements that facilitate manufacturability and reproducibility.
  • Provide expert problem-solving assistance for a diverse range of technical challenges across various engineering projects.
  • Support production teams with technical guidance for everyday manufacturing challenges.
  • Participate in environmental, safety, health, and quality programs and initiatives.
  • Engage in additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the chemical industry.

Other engineering or technical disciplines may be considered if the candidate possesses relevant experience in chemical manufacturing or process development.


Prior experience in a quality engineering role within the semiconductor industry or with semiconductor manufacturers is highly desirable.

Hands-on experience with structured problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, and SQC/SPC techniques is essential.

Direct familiarity with ISO9001 or equivalent Quality Management Systems is preferred.


Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team are crucial.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Proficiency in computer applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and statistical software tools) is necessary.

Strong troubleshooting capabilities are essential.
