Job Summary: This role requires a highly organized individual to assist in the preparation, processing, and review of various legal documents. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of document management principles, be able to work independently, and possess excellent time management skills.

About the Role:
• Assist in the examination, preparation, and processing of technical legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Collaborate with the Criminal Division team to develop and implement efficient document management processes
• Maintain accurate records, track filing deadlines, and update case information as required
• Provide administrative support to investigative and trial teams, including organizing evidence and exhibits for trials
• Develop and maintain suspense systems for ongoing cases, informing the AUSA of pending dates and deadlines
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the team leader

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process a variety of technical legal documents, ensuring compliance with USAO requirements
• Review incoming material, determining the need for assembly and preparation of legal documents
• Obtain necessary information from sources, submitting drafted legal documents to the AUSA
• Verify citations and statutory references, ensuring consistency with source material
• Organize travel arrangements for AUSAs, following up to ensure necessary receipts and documents are submitted and finalized
• Develop tables of contents and indices to briefs, listing cited cases and opinions
• Compose original letters, requiring a good working knowledge of legal procedures and specialized terminology
• Transcribe audio recordings, such as wire taps, utilizing office software applications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in document management, preferably in a law enforcement or federal agency
• Strong communication skills, with ability to maintain regular contact with law enforcement agencies, witnesses, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
• U.S. Citizenship
