We are pleased to present an engaging Co-op opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Project Assistant to join our Plumbing division. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience and insight into various facets of our operations. As a Co-op, you will support project managers by executing tasks at project locations, analyzing CAD drawings, collaborating with Project Foremen/Superintendents to monitor installation processes, and assisting with essential project documentation, including submittals, subcontracts, permits, purchase orders, and close-out paperwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Operation & Maintenance Manuals
  • Evaluate Submittals for Project Compliance
  • Perform Data Entry (Equipment, Project progress, Valve tags)
  • Create Equipment Tracking Matrices
  • Generate Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Conduct Site Walks to Compile Progress Reports
  • Prepare Estimates
  • Assist with Basic Scheduling
  • Collaborate in small teams or as part of a larger project group

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Fundamental understanding of plumbing systems and construction methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach.
  • Proven time management capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in small teams or larger project groups.
  • Commitment to ongoing improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to interpret detailed plans and blueprints.
  • Experience with business-related metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves Sedentary Work – exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work primarily involves sitting but may require brief periods of walking or standing. Jobs are considered sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
