We are seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join our team in the Pediatric Inpatient Pulmonary Ventilator Unit at the University of Michigan.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Perform history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic studies, document in electronic medical records, and respond to calls from patients/families and care teams.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • History and physical examinations, diagnostic study ordering and interpretation, and electronic medical record documentation.
  • Clinical experience in inpatient pediatrics with high acuity and complex medical needs.
  • NPs: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan, current specialty certification, and two years of APP experience managing pediatric patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
  • PAs: Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan, satisfactory completion of a physician assistant program accredited by ARC-PA or one of its predecessor agencies, and AHA approved BLS/PALS certification.
