Job Overview:

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technical assistance, enhancing capabilities, standardizing operations, and addressing immediate challenges. Your role will involve active engagement in the ContiTech Business System (Lean) initiatives aimed at minimizing product and process variability while eliminating waste.

All modifications to equipment must be documented and communicated effectively to all relevant parties, ensuring proper documentation (standard works, TPMs, BOM's, etc.). You will initiate changes to the manufacturing line, enhance the precision of engineering documentation and systems, and successfully integrate new products and processes into production while applying the appropriate level of technology to production processes.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Monitor production performance metrics (cost, lead time, scrap, waste, energy, OEE, etc.) and identify, prioritize, and implement enhancements to production processes.

2. Enforce internal Mechanical Engineering standards (strategy, equipment, KPIs, etc.).

3. Provide technical support for manufacturing-related issues.

4. Enhance process capability and production volume while upholding and improving quality standards.

5. Collect and analyze process data to make informed decisions and implement corrective measures.

6. Propel new process technologies and continuous improvement initiatives: Ensure timely completion of projects.

7. Collaborate closely with product development engineers, maintenance teams, and area managers to boost operational efficiency.

8. Lead continuous improvement efforts within the department.

9. Benchmark against other facilities to identify best practices and implement findings to enhance overall operations.

10. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field; a Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
