The School of Social Work at Fayetteville State University invites nominations and applications for the MSW Practicum Education Director position. The Director is responsible for the overall administration of the School of Social Work graduate practicum education program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide curriculum and administrative leadership for the MSW Practicum Education Program.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the Practicum Team and recruit, secure, and develop graduate-level social work practicum placements in compliance with CSWE accreditation standards.
  • Teach two practicum education seminars and update practicum education policies and procedures.
  • Analyze student and practicum supervisor's evaluations and provide various practicum reports.
  • Manage the practicum education budget in consultation with the Associate Dean and represent the program on appropriate committees appointed by the Associate Dean.
Requirements:
  • Master of Social Work degree from an accredited School of Social Work by CSWE.
  • Three years post-master's social work practice experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a community agency-based practicum instructor.
  • Experience in collaborative work at the community level and a demonstrated commitment to successfully working with a diverse population are required.
  • Experience with program development, administration, and evaluation.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and responsibilities.
  • Expertise in working with groups.
  • Intermediate knowledge and skills in MS Microsoft Office, internet, email, computers, graphics, multimedia, spreadsheets, and databases.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with program development, administration, and evaluation; exceptional communication and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple demands and responsibilities; and expertise in working with groups are the desired qualifications.
