Associate Residency Program Director Opportunity

Archway Physician Recruitment LLC is seeking an experienced Associate Program Director to lead our General Surgery Residency program in North Carolina. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative leadership and direction to the program, working closely with the Program Director to ensure the success of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional expertise and leadership to the General Surgery Residency program
  • Assist the Program Director in providing administrative leadership and direction to the program
  • Direct patient care, supervise and precept residents in clinical settings
  • Supervise and oversee General Surgery residency support staff
  • Develop, revise and maintain curriculum, lead in residents performance improvement plans, coaching, remediation and disciplinary activities as needed
  • Oversight the outpatient continuity clinic experience, and assist in ensuring the Annual Program Evaluation with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching in an approved ACGME General Surgery Residency program
  • Critical Care Fellowship training required
  • Experience with publications and grant writing skills preferred
