CareGard Warranty Services is expanding its Claims Department and is looking for dedicated professionals at various adjudication levels. The Mechanical Claims Specialist II role involves direct collaboration with our clients, inspectors, repair facilities, and parts vendors to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze mechanical breakdown claims to ensure alignment between customer complaints, repair facility assessments, and defective parts.
  • Assess whether the failure aligns with the criteria for approval as outlined in the extended service contract.
  • Evaluate repair costs using standardized national labor time guides to confirm that estimates adhere to approval standards, utilizing resources such as technical bulletins and recalls.
  • Decide if a field inspection is warranted based on the cause of failure, cost estimates, and information provided by the repair facility.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all interactions, research, verifications, and other claim-related data in our database.
  • Engage with customers, agents, dealers, and other stakeholders to complete thorough claims investigations.
  • Collaborate with various departments, claims adjusters, and management to explore options that facilitate claims resolution and approval.
  • Retrieve and communicate pertinent information from the claims file system to customers, dealers, repair facilities, and vendors.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics as a Line Technician or Service Advisor, with a focus on heavy mechanical breakdowns.
  • At least one ASE Certification is required.
  • Strong negotiation skills are essential.
  • Proficient in computer and data entry tasks, with extensive use of Windows-based applications.
  • Exemplary telephone etiquette and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A genuine desire to learn and a passion for assisting others.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through are crucial.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.

Compensation is based on experience and skills, starting at $42,000.
