**Job Summary**

As a key member of the Government Jobs team, the **Mechanic Specialist** will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, with a focus on preventative maintenance and repair.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Inspect and maintain automobiles, light/heavy trucks, and off-road equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to extend the lifespan of our vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, using a range of tools and techniques to get our fleet back on the road.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and effectively.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent technical skills, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality of work.
