Job Title: Behavioral Health Associate I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Associate I to join our team at Turning Point Community Programs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing direct mental health services to our clients, empowering them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in identifying and progressing toward achievement of their goals, promoting empowerment and self-sufficiency.
  • Provide vocational support to clients, helping them to develop and implement activities, programming, and groups that foster personal growth and development.
  • Facilitate communication and cooperation among agencies, ensuring seamless service delivery and coordination.
  • Participate in client medication outreach, coordinating communication between doctors, clients, and pharmacies to ensure timely and effective treatment.
  • Educate community members and other agencies about mental health services and resources, promoting awareness and understanding.
  • Drive personal and/or agency vehicles on agency business, transporting clients to appointments and activities as needed.
  • Provide prompt intervention in crisis situations, supporting clients and notifying relevant parties as necessary.
  • Carry a caseload of clients, varying in acuity and program/contract requirements, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Assist clients in accessing and maintaining appropriate housing, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of full-time equivalent experience providing direct mental health services.
  • California driver's license and current vehicle insurance/registration.
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection.

Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
