As a Licensed Vocational Nurse I in our Yorba Linda MOB Ophthalmology department, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional patient experiences and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients, following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams.
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, notifying physicians or healthcare professionals as needed.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician orders, following established protocols.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, identifying and arranging for repairs as necessary.
- Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control, following guidelines in the Infection Control Manual.
- Monitor patient flow, assigning and directing other ancillary personnel as needed.
- Provide medical information and education to patients, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Document pertinent patient information, assessments, and nursing procedures, following established protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Zero to one year of LVN experience.
- Vocational Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support certification.
