As a Clinical Nurse B-BMC, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centered care to adolescents and children in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate care to patients with mental health diagnoses, including bi-polar disorder, manic depression disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and substance use recovery.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and respond to triggers and risk factors that can cause a patient's behavior to escalate, ensuring patient, visitor, and staff safety.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of licensed and unlicensed staff, working collaboratively to maintain a positive unit milieu.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare team meetings, providing input to aid in the development of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring patients' rights are respected and understood.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; exceptions may be granted for currently enrolled nursing bridge program participants or LLUH employees with an Associate or Diploma Degree.
  • Minimum of one year experience in nursing required; active California Registered Nurse (RN) License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Demonstrated competencies and knowledge in mental/behavioral health and substance use recovery nursing care.
