Job Responsibilities

As a vital member of the executive team, you will independently manage a range of administrative functions to support the Deputy Commissioner and other senior management professionals. This role requires a high level of discretion, the ability to interpret policies and procedures, and frequent collaboration with various stakeholders, including government officials and community members. You may also guide other staff members as a resource for information and to ensure consistency in actions and communications. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, compiling information, and preparing comprehensive summaries.

Essential Qualifications

• Extensive experience in providing administrative support within a senior-level environment.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to tailor interactions to suit diverse audiences, including agency staff, government officials, and the public.
• Proficient in supporting, maintaining, and refining internal administrative and legislative policies that facilitate senior leadership within a large organization.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with automated office systems and management practices.
• Capable of working autonomously, anticipating needs, thinking critically, managing multiple projects, and adhering to deadlines.
• Skilled in handling sensitive political matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Proven ability to multitask while maintaining confidentiality.

Additional Qualifications

• Background in public administration, public health, healthcare management, business, communications, or a related field.
• Experience in data analysis, including the creation of tables and charts from extensive datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint.
