Position Overview:
Syntagma Group is in search of a Human Resources Manager who will play a pivotal role in managing and directing all HR activities within the organization. This position encompasses various functions including workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, disciplinary actions, benefits administration, and employee engagement.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
- Regularly assess and propose enhancements to existing HR policies and practices.
- Oversee the organization-wide recruitment, hiring, training, and retention initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Evaluate staffing requirements and maintain industry-standard staffing metrics.
- Supervise non-exempt staff, including administrative personnel, ensuring alignment with organizational expectations.
- Manage employee relations, focusing on resolving workplace conflicts effectively.
- Ensure adherence to legal requirements regarding leave of absence requests.
- Collaborate with the CHRO and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator on all employee benefit programs, including retirement plans.
- Keep job descriptions for support roles current and facilitate timely performance evaluations.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, particularly attorneys.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR are advantageous.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant HR experience, ideally within a legal or professional services context.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a knack for addressing complex challenges.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and the maintenance of professional relationships.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with a strong focus on detail.
