Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the estimating team, providing guidance and support throughout the estimation process.

  • Utilize software and tools to prepare detailed and competitive bids for prospective projects.

  • Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to adjust estimates accordingly.
  • Present estimates and bids to senior management and participate in bid reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of construction estimating or preconstruction with a General Contractor.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification from a recognized estimating organization (e.g., AACE, ASPE) is a plus.
  • Experience with Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB), and Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) project delivery methods.
