Job Summary

The Patient Registrar is a critical member of the healthcare team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely registration of patients. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and accurately enter patient demographics and insurance information into the computer system
  • Verify benefits and obtain authorization for patient services
  • Explain policies and secure signatures as needed for billing and account resolution
  • Collect deposits or co-pays and co-insurance amounts from patients
  • Perform various duties to complete patient registration, including pre-authorization services, LMRP verifications, and return mail corrections
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate a PC
