Position Overview:

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Pre-Services Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience. This position is integral to our operations at Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), a leading provider in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inbound and outbound communication with patients, ensuring timely scheduling and pre-registration within our systems.
  • Facilitate the collection of co-pays and deductibles during the pre-registration process.
  • Interpret and apply managed care contracts and Medicare regulations to enhance the scheduling and registration workflow.
  • Conduct thorough research on patient visit history to comply with Medicare guidelines.
  • Confirm patient demographic information and provide payment instructions in a courteous manner.
  • Utilize electronic eligibility confirmation tools and coordinate with insurance providers as necessary.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve patient and insurance inquiries effectively.
  • Document issues and resolutions accurately, acting as a liaison between patients and hospital departments.
  • Implement system downtime procedures when required and perform additional duties as assigned.
