Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Acquisitions Sales Representative to join our team at Kendall Hunt Publishing. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with college professors, identifying business opportunities, and persuading authors to partner with our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview and build relationships with college professors to identify business opportunities
  • Persuade authors to partner with our company by developing and pitching book proposals
  • Travel to college campuses in your territory to meet with professors and authors
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the higher education market and our company's products
  • Work closely with our editorial and production teams to develop and pitch book proposals

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the education or publishing industry
  • Proven track record of success in sales and relationship-building
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
