Position Overview
The Engineering Program Manager for App Store Analytics plays a pivotal role within Apple Services Engineering (ASE). This team exemplifies Apple's dedication to merging creativity with technology, supporting platforms such as the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Podcasts, and Books, alongside Cloud and Infrastructure Services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional entertainment experiences in over 35 languages across more than 150 countries.
Role Responsibilities
As a Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with engineers to develop innovative, comprehensive solutions. You will lead initiatives from conception to launch, transforming ideas into sustainable, long-term programs and products. Your strong project management skills will be essential in navigating complex challenges and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties Include:
- Overseeing the development and deployment of new features for the App Store analytics platform.
- Engaging in requirements analysis, functional and technical design discussions, and testing processes.
- Working alongside cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, design, data science, legal, security, and privacy, to ensure successful feature launches.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in technical program management within software development, particularly in analytics or big data engineering.
- Experience with data segmentation and user engagement strategies.
- Familiarity with compliance, privacy, and regulatory initiatives such as GDPR.
- Experience managing complex data sets at scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously while collaborating with various engineering teams.
- Skill in aligning product and business stakeholders on project roadmaps.
- Expertise in translating high-level business goals into actionable programs with clear KPIs and success metrics.
- Strong facilitation skills to drive complex, cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in planning and maintaining cross-functional schedules, establishing milestones and deliverables.
- Understanding of change management processes and the ability to navigate large-scale changes effectively.
- Comfort in ambiguous situations, strategizing the best paths forward based on available information.
- Effective communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information for diverse audiences.
- A proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
- Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn new tools and applications independently.
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Background in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred.
