Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their team. As a key member of the school's leadership, the CFO will be responsible for managing the school's finances, accounting functions, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve the school's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the school's budget, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the school's accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the school's leadership and staff.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a school or non-profit setting.
  • Proven track record of financial management and planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of financial software and systems.
