Job Description: Director of Restorative Practices and Culture

We seek a passionate and experienced leader to guide our restorative practices initiatives and cultivate a culture of respect, understanding, and accountability within our college community. The Director will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing programs that promote positive relationships, conflict resolution, and social-emotional learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive restorative practices framework aligned with the college's mission and values.
  • Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and students on restorative practices principles and techniques.
  • Facilitate restorative justice circles and other processes for addressing conflict and harm.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to integrate restorative practices into academic programs, student life activities, and institutional policies.
  • Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of restorative practices initiatives.
  • Advocate for restorative justice principles within the college community and beyond.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in education, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing restorative practices in educational or organizational settings.
  • Strong understanding of conflict resolution and mediation principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to social justice and equity.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Bilingual fluency.
