Job Description: Director of Restorative Practices and CultureWe seek a passionate and experienced leader to guide our restorative practices initiatives and cultivate a culture of respect, understanding, and accountability within our college community. The Director will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing programs that promote positive relationships, conflict resolution, and social-emotional learning.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive restorative practices framework aligned with the college's mission and values.
- Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and students on restorative practices principles and techniques.
- Facilitate restorative justice circles and other processes for addressing conflict and harm.
- Collaborate with campus partners to integrate restorative practices into academic programs, student life activities, and institutional policies.
- Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of restorative practices initiatives.
- Advocate for restorative justice principles within the college community and beyond.
- Master's degree in education, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience implementing restorative practices in educational or organizational settings.
- Strong understanding of conflict resolution and mediation principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Commitment to social justice and equity.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Bilingual fluency.
