Job Title: Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse

Healogics, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our wound care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients with chronic wounds.

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider to provide wound-related and other basic nursing care to patients in our outpatient wound care centers. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide wound-related patient care according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved hospital protocols
  • Assist in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training
  • May assist with intake and discharge
  • May provide assistance with case management under the direction of an RN, in accordance with state regulations
  • Gather patient information
  • Gather necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider
  • Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager
  • Communicate as needed with team members regarding therapeutic interventions, to ensure quality of care
  • Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties, as needed, after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric training
  • May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric safety director training
  • May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy
  • Perform other duties as delegated
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program/state approved educational program
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice
  • Two (2) or more years' experience as LPN/LVN, to include one (1) or more years in SNF or LTACH setting
  • Wound care experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated competency in BLS
  • Demonstrated organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills
  • Customer service skills and follow-up skills
  • Ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with others and in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay calm in all situations
  • Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems
Work Environment:

  • Exposure to Hazards (blood-borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable explosive gases, etc.)
  • Exposure to mechanical equipment
  • Proximity to moving objects
Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $25.87-$32.18 Per Hour.

This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography, as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
