Job Description:
Dental Director

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Director to lead our dental department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality dental services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the activities of the dental department, including supervision of dental assistants and hygienists.
  • Develop and implement best practices in treatment to ensure optimal oral health outcomes.
  • Manage the dental budget and develop systems to improve dental services and overall health care.
  • Provide expert consultation and assistance with hiring and supervision of dental staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve dental services and overall health care.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of and experience performing dental services, including use of dental equipment.
  • Knowledge of best practices related to oral hygiene and health care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to manage a department and direct the work of others effectively.
