About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Financial Counseling and Compliance team at Providence Health & Services. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, revenue cycle operations, and financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the financial assistance and financial counseling programs for all Providence Health & Services ministries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for financial assistance and financial counseling operations.
  • Lead a high-performance team of financial counselors and compliance specialists.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, finance, and reimbursement teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in state-led work groups on charity law and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain departmental budgets and oversee financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle leadership and financial assistance operations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations and third-party contracts pertaining to healthcare reimbursement.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
