The Opportunity

This position is part of our Global Marketing Operations team, which plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and operational efficiency within our Global Marketing function. As a key member of this team, the Senior Marketing Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end review and approval lifecycle of promotional materials, utilizing electronic review systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the review and approval lifecycle of promotional materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, Medical, Legal, Marketing, and Agencies to ensure material submissions meet quality standards.
  • Ensure Agencies, Marketers, and Reviewers receive appropriate training and adhere to process guidelines and best practices.
  • Support escalation process in partnership with Marketing teams.
  • Involved in the planning and execution of product launches, new indications, and label updates in partnership with Marketing and Regulatory.
  • Support material prioritization efforts in partnership with Marketing.
  • Lead and partner with Ad Promo specialists to manage MLR submission priority management.
  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure reviews are efficiently completed throughout the stages of the approval process.
  • Oversee and track electronic review cycles to meet approval timelines.
  • Involved in project work supporting continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Represent Abbott Laboratories as the global lead for divisional MLR processes, best practices, and digital solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience.
  • Extensive in-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and working knowledge of automated project planning tools required.
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver difficult messages; execute with limited information and ambiguity.
  • Leadership and influencing skills.
  • Sound business and technical acumen.
  • Experience with stakeholder management.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience within healthcare Ad Promo MLR/PRC processes preferred.
  • Prefer experience in sales operations, marketing operations, and compliance operations.
  • Experience with digital PRC/MLR solutions and modular content (e.g., Veeva PromoMats, Adobe AEM/Workfront, Veeva Vault, Veeva Claims Library).
