We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. in a role that offers a competitive salary and opportunities for growth.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $54,000, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and a retention bonus of $5,000.
Job DescriptionThis is a full-time position requiring the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of diesel fleet equipment, including tractors and trailers. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations and maintain accurate records of all repairs and parts used.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, applicants must have 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience, or 2 years of experience with TK or Refrigeration certification. The ideal candidate will possess diagnostic and troubleshooting competency, independent analytical and problem-solving skills, and prior experience in administering appropriate PM programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel fleet equipment, including tractors and trailers;
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal trucking regulations;
- Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and parts used;
- Performing road service calls and handling road rescue/transport equipment as needed;
The job requires standing frequently, walking frequently, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. You will also need to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climb/balance ladders, stoop/squat, bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, manipulate objects, and twist occasionally.
