Senior Plumbing Technician

The University of Idaho seeks a skilled Senior Plumbing Technician to join our Facilities Management team in Moscow, Idaho. This is a full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional plumber to utilize their skills and experience to maintain and repair plumbing systems at the University of Idaho campus. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all plumbing systems are functioning properly, including backflow assemblies, gas lines, compressed air systems, and water treatment systems.

• Maintain and repair all plumbing fixtures, systems, and related equipment
• Test backflow assemblies and record results
• Install gas, compressed air, piping, and insulation
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to safety systems
• Maintain sewer pipes and clear blockages
• Winterize systems subject to freezing temperatures
• Test and record water quality in swimming pools
• Maintain and operate programmable controls for water treatment systems

To be considered for this role, you must have a current State of Idaho Journeyman Plumber license and a valid driver's license. You should also possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of and experience in a variety of maintenance tasks (e.g., carpentry, construction, and electrical trades)
• Aquatic Facility Operator certification
• State of Idaho HVAC Journeyman's license in accordance with Idaho Code Title 54, Chapter 50
