Overview

Norman Regional Health System is a leading healthcare provider in the Oklahoma City metro area, renowned for its innovative cardiovascular program. We are seeking an experienced Registered Technologist to join our team and contribute to the expansion of our program.

We are proud to be located in the heart of Norman, with easy access to top-notch amenities and attractions. Our hospital system boasts a Critical Care Tower with state-of-the-art facilities, including three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. We work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to provide exceptional patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will prepare and operate imaging equipment during cardiovascular procedures while providing high-quality patient care. This includes maintaining a sterile environment, assisting physicians, and serving as a mentor to new hires and students.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares equipment before and during procedures
  • Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care
  • Establishes and maintains a sterile environment
  • Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training
  • Uses downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks
Requirements
  • Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification
  • Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and ACLS certification within six months of hire
