Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Care Specialist - Child Life Expert to join our team. As a Child Life Specialist, you will work with patients and families to provide emotional support and guidance during hospital stays. Your primary duties will include assessing the developmental, social, emotional, and physical needs of children and youth, documenting patient information, and providing education and information to families.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and address the developmental, social, emotional, and physical needs of children and youth.
- Document patient information and treatment plans.
- Provide education and information to families on hospital procedures and resources.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to promote patient well-being.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in child life or a related field.
- Professional certification (CCLS) through the Association of Child Life Professionals.
- Experience working with pediatric patients and families.
