Rocket Software is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating software licensing agreements that drive business growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire contract negotiation process, from initial request and review through negotiation and execution.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements during the contract negotiation.
  • Review, redline, analyze, and negotiate a wide range of software-related contracts, including software licensing agreements, partner agreements, master service agreements, and NDAs.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with contractual terms, ensuring that contract terms are fair, reasonable, and aligned with the company's risk appetite.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Rocket's business, products, markets, customers, and partners in order to identify trends and formulate effective compliance strategies.
  • Interpret contracts and coordinate with legal staff for guidance.
  • Ensure that accurate databases and documents are maintained.
  • Provide day-to-day responses to requests for legal support for the company as needed.
  • Manage conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Effective management skills with the ability to manage the company's sales contract operations.
  • 7-10 years experience with technology sales, licensing, and procurement transactions and related distributor, reseller, cloud computing, and software product and services agreements.
  • BA/BS in a related field. MA or JD preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software contracts, licensing models, and service agreements.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex contractual documents and legal language.
  • Ambitious, commercially astute, and self-motivated.
