The Clinical Nutrition Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all clinical functions of the nutrition department. This includes ensuring the clinical competence of nutrition programs, maintaining patient safety, adhering to regulatory compliance, and driving quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the nutrition services to align with the needs of healthcare providers and patient populations.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Manage staff schedules to optimize efficiency and meet departmental requirements.
  • Drive clinical, quality, and financial initiatives to promote high-quality, cost-effective care.
  • Establish departmental goals and collaborate with leadership to achieve them.
  • Provide drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Facilitate patient and family involvement in nutrition-related goal setting.
  • Document patient care effectively to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Stay informed on evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Mentor staff and provide constructive feedback to promote professional growth.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to expedite patient care processes.
  • Evaluate and enhance clinical nutrition care delivery.
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure compliance and patient satisfaction with menus.
  • Support the education of diet clerks and culinary staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian certification required; additional certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in clinical nutrition.
