Role Overview:
The Clinical Nutrition Manager is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all clinical aspects of the nutrition department's programs and services. This includes ensuring clinical competency, patient safety, adherence to regulatory standards, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the nutrition services to align with the needs of healthcare providers and the patient population.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Manage staff schedules to optimize efficiency and meet departmental needs.
  • Support clinical and financial initiatives to promote high-quality, cost-effective care.
  • Establish departmental goals and collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for achievement.
  • Provide education and drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Direct the nutritional assessment process in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate and document patient education needs and outcomes.
  • Facilitate collaboration among healthcare professionals to expedite patient care.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of patient menus in compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct audits and utilize operational data to enhance the quality of nutrition therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian certification required; additional certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in clinical nutrition.
