Business Account Executive

The Business Account Executive is responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
- Place orders through order management software and work with Account Coordinator to ensure that all necessary administrative work is accurate and submitted in a timely manner
- Hand off customer service and non-sales related client inquiries to the Customer Service department and focus on selling
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within assigned territory
- Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model
- Business-to-business sales experience
- Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets
Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather
BenefitsA qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.
The base pay for this position generally is between $47,800.00 and $94,000.00, with a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.00.
