Business Development Executive

The Business Account Executive is a key role within our organization, responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. This includes coax delivered Internet, video, and voice services, as well as custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Actively support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
- Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports
- Have a complete understanding of Spectrum Business coax services, rates, and applicable taxes
- Demonstrate selling skills and product knowledge, practicing with other Account Executives and staying up-to-date with new sales techniques
- Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory
- Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model
- Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model
- Business-to-business sales experience
- Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets
Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather and moderate noise levels

The base pay for this position generally ranges from $47,800.00 to $94,900.00, with a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
