The Identity Governance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team by overseeing the administration and maintenance of our Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) framework. This includes a range of administrative and support functions, identity enforcement, and access governance.

This role involves the analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and upkeep of the SailPoint IdentityIQ application, along with secondary support for other IAM applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses.
  • Define and fulfill Information Assurance (IA) and security requirements based on user, policy, regulatory, and resource evaluations.
  • Assist clients in formulating and executing security policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to information system owners regarding security policies and requirements.
  • Stay informed about emerging security technologies and recommend enhancements to the security posture of systems.

Project Duties:

  • Support, troubleshoot, and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ environments.
  • Offer expertise in Identity Governance and Administration.
  • Manage, monitor, and audit privileged access to systems and applications.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of security roles, profiles, and entitlements.
  • Conduct access reviews and compliance audits.
  • Aid in the development and documentation of IAM policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Create and deliver training for staff on IGA tools and processes.
  • Participate in various information security projects and operational tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including operational support for tickets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of pertinent professional experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Project Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in security or technology, with a minimum of 3 years in identity management. CISSP certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative and support experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ; familiarity with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud is advantageous.
  • Preferred certification: SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Associate.
  • Knowledge of enterprise directory services and integrations (Active Directory, LDAP, SAML).
  • Experience with technologies such as Azure AD, ADFS, SSO, multifactor authentication, SAML, IGA, or Privileged Access Management.
  • Ability to convey technical information in clear business terms.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and work both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation Transparency:

Compensation at Maximus is determined by various factors, including job location, education, training, experience, and the expected quality and quantity of work. Our total compensation package includes not only salary but also short- and long-term incentives and a range of benefits, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.

Annual base pay for this position ranges from $88,145.00 to $119,255.00, commensurate with job duties and relevant experience.
