Job Summary

We are seeking an Accommodations Specialist to support our government client in ensuring compliance with disability employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accommodation Planning: Develop and implement plans to provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, in accordance with the Rehab Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA).
  • Medical Documentation Evaluation: Evaluate medical documentation to determine the need for accommodations and identify potential barriers in the work setting.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with supervisors, managers, staff, and mission partners to implement accommodations effectively and provide consultant services in areas of reasonable accommodation.
  • Reporting and Advisory Services: Develop comprehensive reports on reasonable accommodation requests and provide advisory services to management on disability employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least four (4) years of experience in HR generalist roles and performing reasonable accommodation duties.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Rehab Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), and guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills to develop overall plans, procedures, and operating methods for assignments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
